What is the Sonora State Aquaculture Institute (IAES)

An institution strongly committed to promoting aquaculture activities in the State of Sonora, through the production of fresh and marine water pups, research, technical advice and professional training

Mission

Promote the cultivation of aquatic organisms and the development of new technologies. As well as participate in the production of offspring of aquatic species of commercial interest; also offering services of technological transfer, technical assistance and linking scientific and technological research in aquaculture with the productive sector.

Vision

To be an Entity committed to promoting and promoting the social and private sector of Sonora for its development and economic growth through Aquaculture; with the purpose of keeping the entity at the forefront in this fundamental productive activity.

Promote and encourage the development of the aquaculture and fisheries sector, in the production and diversification of species with aquaculture potential, raising competitiveness and favoring continuous improvement to all its personnel and; through applied scientific research, the improvement and adoption of efficient and effective technological processes, the timely supply of offspring, crop innovation and the training and transfer of technology to the productive sector of the State of Sonora.
